This will be a good get-together on "smart cities" (if you're based in the Netherlands, or at least close):
Maastricht University's European Center for Corporate Engagement and the MIT Center for Real Estate are joining forces for an event to explore the economic drivers for innovators in the smart, connected and green cities of the future. During the day we will hear from the innovators themselves, from researchers from ECCE and MIT, and from leading initiators of the most sustainable and connected cities and buildings. Four topics will be discussed: Benchmarking innovation; Smart, connected and green building value; The role of the innovator in meeting the space demands of today; and the supply of innovative space for tomorrow.
At the the outset there will be a keynote from Stef van Dongen of Enviu followed by an engaging dialogue between the speakers and audience. Speakers include David Geltner of MIT, Christopher Durbin of Cisco, Karsten Spengler of ARUP, Ronald Rovers of SBS, Martin Haas of Haas Cook Zemmrich, Peter Hobbs of IPD, and Quinten de Gooijer of Temphousing and Thies Lindenthal of MIT.
